About the firm
     Originally founded as William Douglas Bloodworth II, Attorney and Counselor at Law, in 1992.  William Douglas Bloodworth II, has operated offices in Livingston, Polk County Texas and still maintains an office in Huntsville, Walker County, Texas, (Principle Office) as well as,  The Woodlands, Montgomery County, Texas.

     Bloodworth Law Firm, P.L.L.C. is family-owned and operated in Huntsville, TX. Since opening in 1992, we've treated every customer like they were a part of our family. Other law firms may offer similar services, but our services come with a personal touch and unmatched communication with our clients.  Because of this communication you know exactly what is going on in your case on any given day.

      We also do detail billing so that you know the day we do something for you how long it took to do it and exactly how much it cost.  We are here to help you not to hurt you.  We believe in truth and integrity in our billing. 

     We also provide our clients with a copy of every document filed or received on your case, usually the same day!  In this way you know exactly what is happening in your case and are informed almost instantly.

     William grew up in Livingston, Polk County, Texas.  William was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout in 1978.  He attended Livingston High School where he graduated in 1979.
     In 1983 he obtained a Bachlor of Science Degree in Pastoral Ministry and Evangelism and an Associate of Arts Degree in Communications from Southwestern Assemblies of God University.  William served as Editor of the Outlook, college newspaper for several years and won several photography and journalisim scholorships.  William then Served as Associate Pastor and then Pastor of Gethsemane Chapel Assemblies of God Church for approximatly 3 years.
     William studied Philosophy, Sociology, and Religion at L'Abri Fellowship, Switzerland, Europe, 1985.
      In 1987 William served in the Navy Reserve where he was awarded several decorations including the Naval Reserve Meritorious Service Medal.
     William is married to Deanna Fawbush and they are the parents of three children.
     Obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from Regent University, Virginia Beach, Virginia, in 1992.
     That same year William began his practice in Lvingston, Polk County, Texas as "William Douglas Bloodworth Attorney at Law."  The current Bloodworth Law Firm, P.L.L.C., is an outgrowth of this original law firm.
      Since 1992 William has practiced a general practice of law including a wide varitey of legal issues.  However, because of William's personal experience with divorce and custody these issues are close to his heart and the Bloodworth Law Firm concentrates its practice in Family Law(Divorce, Child Custody, and Modifications).
     In 1993 William was admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. 
     In 1994 William was admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit.
     In 1995 William was admitted to practice as a Guardian and Attorney Ad Litem, by the State Bar of Texas.
     In 1996 William was admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas.
     Also, in 1996 William was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
     In 1996 William was inducted into the Who's Who in American Law.
     From 1993-2001 William served as a Staff Attorney with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-State Counsel for Offenders, where William had responsibility for providing legal services to all of the female prision units in Texas.  These units yeiled a high number of family law cases providing a wide variety of legal issues and experiences.  William authored Chapter 9 of the Offender Legal Handbook published by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Counsel for Offenders, which provided legal issue discussion and forms for incarcerated offenders.  
     In 2007, in Harris County, Texas, William obtained a verdict from the jury in a sexual harassment case that exceeded the amount of damages allowed by law and the Judge was required to lower the award received by Mr. Bloodworth's client.  While results obtained for other clients cannot be a guarantee of future results for other clients; William D. Bloodworth II brings passion and detication to his clients and their causes.       
     Since 1992 William has handled complex litigaton involving suits against the State of Texas, Texas Counties, political subdivisions of Texas, corporate and business litigation, labor and employment cases, criminal law, civil trial and probate.  William has also successfully represented several clients in the Courts of Appeal resulting in published opinions.
